A look back at some of the items we've had, made & encountered

Hybrid AES-MVS Console

As the name suggests, this console plays both formats; AES (home console) cartridges and MVS (arcade cabinet) cartridges.  We've made one working prototype which has remained in our possession.  Maybe one day it will be economical to actually produce...

NOS Neo Geo AES Set

From time to time, we are lucky enough to acquire brand new merchandise.  Whether sitting in distributor's stock rooms or in a collector's vault, it's always a treat to come across NOS items!  Here is one of the first AES consoles to be produced, with a serial number in the low thousands.

Micomsoft XNEO-1 Device

Before internal modification, this was the way to improve the image output of the AES.  Micomsoft's handy device pulled the RGB signal from the console's DIN port and made an S-Video output for higher-end televisions.  A huge leap in picture quality!

Illuminated Old-Style Joystick

Commonly called the "Princess Stick" by the Neo forum trolls, this is a flashy modification done to mirror the button coloration of the MVS format.  Each LED is powered by the system via the controller port, so the upgrade is clean and self-contained.

Consolized MV-1A

The MV-1A (and MV-1FZ) are nice, little compact motherboards; a great host for consolization.  We can't even begin to count how many of these we've created.  A popular choice for your game room needs!

Room Amusement System (Hotel Unit)

The holy grails of holy grails, this shrunken arcade cabinet for hotel rooms is rarely ever seen.  Not much info has ever been found on these units, nor the quantity produced, but they are the center piece of any true SNK collector's dream cache....

And there is one available in our shop!

Consolized MV-1C w/HDMI Output

Our top-of-the-line, enclosed consolized unit, these compact & stylish systems can be had in slate gray (pictured) and off-white finishes.  Bringing your favorite 90s games into the 21st century is possible with 1080p imagery and stereo sound!  Be sure to visit our shop for more details.

Aero Fighters 3 English AES

Remember this one?

Back in 2012, a 'collector that had been living under a rock' claimed to have multiple copies of unreleased yet official English AES titles.  The problem was, these games were never made for the American market (notably Aero Fighters 3 and Power Spikes 2).  Deep-pocketed gamers across the globe jumped at the chance to spend $30k to buy the few pieces that were up for sale.   Drama followed.

We got to inspect one....

Pink-Padded AES Carrying Case

Safely carrying around the Ferrari of video game consoles can't be done without a little show-boating.  Enter the 'pink-padded' carrying bag!  Made with cushioning foam inserts, this tote made sure the priceless hardware stayed scratch free and could handle some bumps & bruises.  These deluxe bags had enough room to house the AES cartridge system, two joysticks and a couple games.

Stay tuned,  more items and memories will be coming!
